This 25th of November, at Skokka we raise our voice with strength and responsibility. This day is not merely another date on the calendar, but an urgent reminder of the harm that many women face every single day. We cannot look the other way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every 25N brings back the bitter feeling of having to confront the difficult reality that so many women live daily: constant pressure that affects hundreds of thousands, even millions, around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A reality that represents only the tip of the iceberg of a situation impacting innumerable women globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women who shoulder domestic and caregiving responsibilities, who face demands that restrict their autonomy, and who navigate situations that undermine their confidence and sense of self-worth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if these stories are not heard, how can anyone be moved by the everyday mistreatment they endure?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What often prevails is a dismissive attitude towards these women: for being \u201ctoo weak\u201d, for not commanding respect, for not knowing how to handle the situation, or for not leaving people who harm them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It does not matter that many find themselves in contexts where support feels nonexistent\u2014where they do not know how to seek help, nor whom to turn to. Society conditions women to become victims, and when they are hurt, they are blamed for not defending themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those affected are not only harmed\u2014they are made to feel ashamed of what they experience, pushed into silence. Meanwhile, from a young age they are socialised to accept this mistreatment as something \u201cnormal\u201d, as if the unacceptable could ever be justified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What all these forms of harm have in common is that they target a specific group: women, simply for having been born women. And sadly, we continue to witness debates that attempt to erase our gendered identity, prioritising other agendas over the lived experiences of those who have been historically oppressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More women and communities are working to reverse these dynamics<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Every day, more women and communities work tirelessly to transform these realities, supporting one another and building spaces grounded in respect and autonomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
